The trailer for STARZ’s new series ‘Ash Vs Evil Dead’, starring Bruce Campbell, is here and it’s groovy! The premier date for ‘Ash s Evil Dead’ is set for Halloween.

Campbell will play the aging Ash, a ladies man, working at the local S-Mart. He’s spent thirty years avoiding responsibility and coping with the horrors he experienced at the hand of the deadites. Now the creatures have been set loose on the world. Ash must confront his fears and come to the rescue. This time Ash won’t have to fight alone, he’s got two young sidekicks, Kelly and Pablo, to aid in his mission to rid the world of deadites once and for all.

Dana DeLorenzo (A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas) will play Kelly Maxwell, a wild child trying to make up for her past and looking for a new type of family. Pablo Bolivar will be played by Ray Santiago (Raising Hope). Pablo is an idealistic young man who becomes like a son to Ash. Even when Ash doesn’t believe in himself, Pablo does.

Campbell recently had this to say about the relationship between Ash, Kelly and Pablo,“They’re supposed to be two very good counterparts. One is a male-bonding situation; the other is a  father-figure deal, since Ash could have a daughter the same age as this character. Hopefully we’ll pull Ash out of his loner-veteran mode and get him back into being a human being again.”

Actress Jill Marie Jones will be playing a State Trooper Amanda Fisher, who suspects Ash had a role in her partner’s death. When she learns the truth about Ash and the deadites, she joins Ash in his mission. You may recognize Jones from her role as Cynthia Irving on the series ‘Sleepy Hallow’.

Bruce Campbell recently announced that Lucy Lawless (aka Xena, Warrior Princess) has joined the cast  ‘Ash Vs. Evil Dead’. Starz has not reveal details about her character yet.

“We just added her to our cast, and I got to tell you, I couldn’t be happier. Some actors you work with and you know that you’re going to fail the chemistry test. There are some that you know you won’t fail it. She’s great, I worked with her a lot in the ‘Xena’ days, and it’s great to have her on ‘Ash Vs. Evil Dead’.”
