Steven Spielberg’s distribution deal for DreamWorks will be ending with Disney in August 2016. Spielberg is looking for a new home for DreamWorks. He’s has always had a good relationship with Universal, making them the most likely choice.
Ok, horror fans, get ready, this is going to piss you off. According to The Hollywood Reporter “He also is key on potential reboots of other Universal franchises such as ‘JAWS’ and ‘Back to the Future’.” Bloody Hell! It seems Universal is keen on rebooting one of our most cherished films of all time, ‘Jaws’. Is nothing Sacred ?
Hold on just a second before you grab your picket signs, it’s not 100% concrete that ‘Jaws’ will be rebooted yet, but lets face it, studios will do anything to turn a profit. There are over sixty reboots/remakes being made as we speak, can’t they leave ‘Jaws’ alone? Better yet, it would be nice if they would stop remaking every film, just because they can.
