The cast of The Walking Dead are no strangers to fans following them in an attempt to get their attention, but sometimes fans go to far, such as the case with twenty-four year old woman Kathryn Boykin. Beginning in 2006, after a theater performance Daniel May and his wife began to be harassed by Boykin. She stalked the two both in real life and on the internet. She sent him messages frequently on social media . After a while they obtained a restraining order.
After he was cast as Allen on The Walking Dead things got worse. She would show up carrying signs at locations and spreading rumors about May.
Tuesday Boykin pleaded guilty to aggravated stalking. As part of her plea deal she is banned from using the internet, in any form, for ten years. She is permanently banned from any contact with May or his wife. She also must maintain mental health treatment and medications prescribed to her.
There is lesson to be learned here, celebrities don’t appreciate being stalked in any form. Know when not to cross the line.
