The series follows Laurel (Winestead), a young Hill staffer in Washington D.C. , as she discovers two things : the government is no longer running and that an alien creature has come to earth and infected the brains of politicians. James’ character, Rochelle, is a medical student who is seeking answers after her father died from the alien infection. Rochelle and Laurel team up to get to the bottom of what is causing the infection and stop it before it spreads any further, according to Deadline.
