We reported back in September that the filmmaking duo behind ‘The Conjuring’, brothers Chad and Carey Hayes, have a new project under way, titled ‘The Crucifixion’. This supernatural thriller is being directed by Xavier Gens (Hitman) and produced by Peter Safran (The Conjuring) and the Hayes brothers themselves. The film has already begun principle photography in Romania, which should put the it’s release some time in 2016. New images from ‘The Crucifixion’ have now made their way onto the web, and we happen to have them here.

The cast of ‘The Crucifixion’ includes ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ actress Sophie Cookson, Javier Botet (Mama), Alexis Rodney (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Radu Andrei Micu of ‘Dead in Tombstone’, among others.

In ‘The Crucifixion’, a priest is jailed after a possessed nun dies during an exorcism. A journalist delves into the story to try to determine what really happened and if the priest killed a mentally ill nun or if she died after losing a battle with a demonic entity.
