The horror world is in mourning, Gunnar Hansen, known for his role as Leatherface in the 1974 film ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’, has passed away at the age of 68. Hansen passed at his home in Maine on Saturday November 7th, from pancreatic cancer.
The Iceland born actor starred in over 30 films, including the upcoming film ‘Death House‘, set to be released in 2016. He was not only an actor, but also a writer, director and a magazine editor. His book, ‘Chain Saw Confidential’ explored the making of ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’.
Our thoughts go out to his family and friends during this dark time. Hansen will be missed.
