Just when you thought childbirth couldn’t get any more terrifying, Shudder has unveiled the first trailer and official premiere date for its upcoming horror-thriller Goody Goody. The trailer teases deeply disturbing body horror and relentless atmospheric dread.

Trapped in a Snowbound Birth Nightmare

The film centers on a couple and their midwife. They settle into a false sense of security amid a prolonged, grueling home birth. When a howling blizzard strikes, it seals the house off from the outside world and transforms a cozy sanctuary into a suffocating, claustrophobic trap. With nowhere to run, the trio is forced to confront escalating, otherworldly complications. That suggests this impending delivery carries a far more sinister burden than ordinary medical distress.

Folklore Roots and Veteran Genre Talent

Steering the icy nightmare is writer and director Raymond Creamer, who weaves a lifelong obsession with regional folklore into the DNA of his filmmaking. Drawing quiet inspiration from legendary film scholar Donald Richie, Creamer builds a deliberate, slow-burn tension around the central horrifying event.

The suspenseful feature stars Samantha Robinson, Zoe Renee, Colby Hollman, and Colleen Foy. The producing team includes Harrison Rothman, Keely Kemp, and veteran horror producer Steven Schneider.

Get ready: Shudder will deliver Goody Goody, a disturbing blend of folk terror, visceral isolation, and claustrophobic dread, on September 18, 2026.
