We reported just a few days ago that TNT and M. Night Shyamalan will be bringing back Tales From The Crypt. Soon after news broke that was not the Crypt Keeper would not be featured. Fans were quick to voice their disappointment. In the place of the Crypt Keeper would be an old man in a robe sitting fire side. A few hours ago Shyamalan tweeted a response to @slashfilm about the Crypt Keeper situation (see below).
At the moment it is unclear exactly what the original Crypt Keeper and the new Crypt Keeper will have in common. I mean, let’s be honest, it’s not really the Crypt Keeper unless it’s actually the Crypt Keeper. I truly hope that TNT and Shyamalan also plan on bringing back John Kassir, the original voice of the Crypt Keeper. Any thing else would just be an insult. It’s time for them to step up and buy the rights from HBO or at least strike a deal.
