Today Paramount Studios released a statement announcing that director Juan Antonio Bayona “…because of pre-existing film commitments,” has stepped down as director of World War Z 2. The statement continued “Banyona will not be able to make World War Z 2 this year and it is our ambition to do so, he is a wonderful director and we hope to work with him in the future.”
Paramount is ow seeking a new director for the film, which they still plan to release in theaters on June 9th, 2017.
