Today AMC released the official artwork for the second half of season 6 of their hit undead series The Walking Dead, which returns on Valentine’s Day.

Scott Gimple,The Walking Dead’s showrunner, commented on the new art saying “This image gives a look at tiny pieces of a larger world our group is about to discover,” Gimple continued “In the new world they’ll find hope, possibility, tragedy and the terrifying cost of change.”

Gimple, Gale Ann Hurd, David Alpert, Tom Luse, Greg Nicotero and Robert Kirman, the comic’s creator, all serve as executive producers for the ground breaking series.

The new art and statement by Gimple leads us to believe that the group will once again be on the move. It’s been made clear that Negan will be showing up some time this season, which leads to tragedy for the group.

In the midseason finale we watched as the walls of Alexandria came down, letting in a huge horde of walkers, leaving most of the group and the people of Alexandria dead or trapped. Daryl, Sasha and Abraham were forced to stop in route to the safe haven by a group of thugs on motorcycles who demanded the trio turn over everything because it all “now belongs to Negan“. We don’t know how the confrontation ended yet or if Rick’s walker camo worked or if Glenn and Maggie will be reunited. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too many episodes to find out.
