Late last night Kevin Durand Posted a group photo on Instagram featuring his fellow cast members Corey Stoll, David Bradley and Ruta Gedmintas from the hit series The Strain. The caption below the picture was as follows:
“Thank you to the cast and crew of #TheStrain Season 3. We all put our heads down and worked hard and accomplished something great. Had a blast with you all. What an honor and a pleasure. Thank you to those of you who are patiently waiting for it. We do this for you and we are grateful for the love. Thank you @fxnetworks for your belief in us. Season 3 is EPIC. Let’s do this! BOOM! Season 3 wrapped.”
The Strain, created by Guillermo del Toro, follows a group of New Yorkers who have banned together to survive the Strigoi, a type of vampire that spreads it’s infection through blood and their worms. Every Strigoi is linked to “The Master”, who leads his army of bloodthirsty creatures with world domination as his goal. Dr. Ephraim (Cory Stoll) is determined to find a cure, while trying to keep his young son safe from the boy’s mother who is infected. Fet (Kevin Durand) and Dutch (Ruta Gedmintas) work to keep the group and the city safe. Abraham Setrakian (David Bradley) leads the group. Setrakian has faced “The Master” and his henchmen before, in Nazi era Germany.
Season 3 will premiere this July on FX. We should see the first teaser released soon.
