When The Strain returns to FX in August, the show will begin it’s third season, but to the characters it has only been 23 days since their nightmare began when the plane landed filled with the infected. Now, it’s time for revenge.
The series, based on Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan’s vampire graphic novel series by the same name, stars Corey Stoll, Kevin Durand, David Bradley, Mia Maestro, Richard Sammel, Miguel Gomez, Jonathan Hyde, Max Charles, Natalie Brown and Ruta Gedmintas.
The Strain follows a group of survivors banded together in hopes of not only surviving, but preventing strigoi and their Master from taking over what is left of New York City. Eph (Stoll) is determined to create a cure for the virus that is turning New Yorkers into blood-thirsty creatures, including his ex wife Kelly (Brown), all while trying to keep his son Zach (Charles) in line. Abraham Setrakian (Bradley) has been waiting for so long to have his revenge on the Master, who met during his stay in a Nazi concentration camp. Fet (Durand) is the muscle of the group, the guide and a general badass. Dutch (Gedmintas) fights at Fet’s side, though her heart longs to be in two places at once. If they can kill the Master, the battle will be won. Together, the group just might survive.
