Directed by Mike Flanagan (Hush, Oculus) and based on the screenplay he co-wrote with Jeff Howard, Ouija: Origins of Evil is based on the infamous board game from Hasbro that supposedly puts people in touch with the other side.

It all begins when a mother, and fake medium, brings home a Ouija board. When her youngest daughter Doris discovers the board, she reaches out to her father that has passed away. But instead she discovers another spirit. And young Doris is over come by something evil.
Ouija: Origins of Evil will open in theaters on October 21st, just in time for Halloween. The first trailer has just arrived (via Universal) and looks to much more intense and frightening than the first film.
