Just when we thought Ash and his crew had faced the worst, we learn that this season a new big bad is going to be introduced. Joel Tobeck stars as “Baal”, a creature that is more powerful than anything Ash has ever gone up against before.
When Baal is released from the underworld, our team will face an enemy more powerful than any that have come before. One with bigger plans than just destroying Ash as well as a secret link to Ruby(Lucy Lawless).”
Bruce Campbell, Ash himself, has said that this season we’ll see one of the most brutal death scenes ever to seen on TV. According to Campbell, the special effects team has really outdone themselves on the gory scene, that will feature Ash’s 1973 Delta 88, seen below, covered in blood.
Campbell dropped another spoiler, his doppelganger will make an appearance in season 2. “Well, he seems to pop up, that Evil Ash, he’s a tricky one,” said the star. “Ash always has internal struggles.”
I don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to see what this season will bring. With new cast members and a new location, I think we’re in for quite a ride. Season 2 of Ash vs Evil Dead will premiere on STARZ this October. Check out the trailer that was deemed too graphic for SDCC.
