The legendary monster, Godzilla, will be making landfall in U.S. and Canadian theaters this October in Shin Godzilla. Funimation Films has announced that the legendary monster will rear its head in 440 theaters for a limited run on October 11th through the 18th.
In the giant monster movie, An unkown accident occurs in Tokyo Bay’s Aqua Line, which causes an emergency cabinet to assemble. All of the sudden, a giant creature immediately appears, destroying town after town with its landing reaching the capital. This mysterious giant monster is named “Godzilla”.”
Hideaki Anno (Evangelion) and Shinji Higuchi (Attach on Titan) co-directed the film. Shin Godzilla is the 29th Godzilla film produced by Toho. Hiroki Hasegawa, Satomi Ishara, both who appeared in ‘Attack on Titan’, co-star alongside Yutaka Takenouchi.
Funimation will be hosting two special showings of the film. The first on October 3rd in Los Angeles and the second showing on October 5th in New York, followed by the New York Comic Con. You can purchase tickets and learn more about the film on the Shin Godzilla website.
