This year’s ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot was far from a fan favorite. After the film opened in theaters to a lukewarm welcome, director Paul Feig stated that he wasn’t interested in a sequel. But according to producer Ivan Reitman, who produced the 1984 original, the franchise is far from over.

There is no word yet if the rumored animated movie will be next, if the next film will be a sequel featuring the all-female cast of if the next film will feature an all-male cast. A few months ago it had been reported that Chris Pratt and Channing Tatum would headline a new movie. One thing is for sure, ‘Ghostbusters’ ain’t afraid of no ghost, or another film.
‘Ghostbusters’ (2016) starred Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth. The film follows a ghost invasion of Manhattan and a group of women determined to stop it.
