The first teaser trailer has arrived for ‘Blade Runner 2049’, the sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982 film. Denis Villeneuve (Sicario) is in the director’s chair for this sci-fi thriller. Villeneuv will be directing off of the script penned by Michael Green and the original ‘Blade Runner’ scribe Hampton Fancher. Ridley Scott serves as Execute Producer for this futuristic film.
Harrison Ford will be returning to reprise his role as Deckerd. Ford will star alongside Jared Letto, Ryan Gosling, Ana De Armus, Dave Bautista, and Robin Wright.
In ‘Blade Runner 2049’ a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
In the first film, a blade runner (Ford) must track down and kill four replicants who have stolen a ship and returned to Earth to find their creator.
‘Blade Runner 2049’ will arrive in theaters on October 6, 2017, from Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures.
