After The Walking Dead’s mid-season finale a short after credits scene was released online. Did you miss it? No worries, we’ve got it. The scene is set in Alexandria at night. Crickets are chirping as the camera pans past the darkened houses, finally focusing on Father Gabriel standing at his post at the gates. Gabriel is looking through the neighborhood, watching over the quiet houses filled with sleeping residents, and pacing back and forth. Suddenly, we see a figure in a hooded sweatshirt looking through binoculars, the owner of the mysterious boots from earlier in the episode’s final scene, drop to the ground and walk away. They are the same boots we saw in the scene where Rick and Aaron were exploring the property where they found the collection of guns.
Robert Kirkman spoke during his appearance on the Talking Dead about the clip and the infamous pair of mystery boots.
It’s a big part of what we’re dealing with when we come back on the next half of the season. So we’ll be revealing that soon.”
There are a lot of possibilities who the figure might be, it could be a Savior, a new character scoping the place out, the Whisperers, or the member of a new group. We will just have to wait and see. The Walking Dead returns this February.
