After five years, Ben Wheatley’s Freakshift is finally proceeding. Co-written by Amy Jump, the film takes place in a world where monsters are very real and very dangerous. When night falls the monsters leave their underground homes to hunt people. “Freakshift” is a crew of misfits organized by the government to hunt down and kill the beasts.
Freakshift may have finally found its lead. Deadline is reporting that Oscar winner Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina) has entered negotiations to star as the lead female protagonist in the action-thriller.
Filming is set to begin this August. We will update you when we know more.
