Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant is set to be the bloodiest of the franchise. New aliens, know as Neomorphs, and the classic Xenomorphs, will become the crew’s worst nightmare.

So far, we have only gotten glimpses at the Neomophs, but thanks to Empire Magazine we get our first real look at the blood-thirst creatures. This month’s issue not only comes with a special cover for subscribers, the Covenant focused issue will be getting an Alien cover as well (above). The the special edition will delve into the Alien mythos and the story behind Covenant which is a sequel to both Promethius and the original Alien film.

Ridley Scott has revealed that the new Neomorphs were inspired by nature documentaries and creatures, including the infamous Goblin Shark. Some poor soul became a meal for the Neomorph in this image.
