The series will remain closely tied to the books, more so than the film adaptions and will be far different from the Sin City films and will introduce new original characters, Deadline reports.

Glen Mazzara who has been involved with The Walking Dead, The Shield, and Damien will be serving as showrunner and writer for the series directed by Len Wiseman who produced the Underworld franchise. Stephen L’Heureux of Sin City: A Dame to Kill will produce along with Miller, Mazzara, Wiseman, and Bob and Harvey Weinstein.
