With summer approaching, a lot of films feature settings like the beach, the ocean, or camps on a lake. 12 Feet Deep is going a different route, sort of. Formerly titled The Deep End, 12 Feet Deep aims a little closer to home, a swimming pool. Seems pretty safe right? In this true-life-inspired thriller, two sisters go for a swim and end up in fight for survival after they are trapped beneath the pool’s cover.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Matt Eskandari and co-written by Michael Hultguist, the film stars Saw’s Tobin Bell, Diane Farr, Nora-Jones Noone, Alexandra Park, Donald Prince, and Christian Kain Blackburn.
Noone and Park star as sisters Bree and Jonna who get trapped beneath the fiberglass cover of an Olympic sized public pool after it closes for the holiday weekend. They find themselves at the mercy of the night Janitor, Clara, who sees the trapped sisters as an opportunity to solve a few problems of her own.
12 Feet Deep will swim onto VOD on June 20, 2017.
