David Fincher, the director behind films such as Fight Club, Se7en, Zodiac, and Gone Girl, is gearing up to deliver his serial killer series Mindhunter.
The series, set to premiere on Netflix this October, was penned by Joe Penhall and Scott Buck, based on the 1995 book ‘Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit’ written by John Douglas, a former special agent, and Mark Olshaker. The book, which also inspired the 2004 film, goes behind the scenes of high-profile cases that Douglas worked on such as the Green River Killer, the prostitute killer of Alaska, and Atlanta’s Wayne Williams, a serial killer who hunted down and murdered children.
