Dee Wallace Joins Cast Of Horror Icons In ‘Dead Afterlife’

Horror icon Dee Wallace (Cujo) has signed on to co-star in Dead afterlife. Wallace joins an ensemble of horror legends that includes Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), Bill Moseley (Devil’s Rejects), Kane Hodder (Friday the 13 movies) and Bill Oberst Jr. (Scream Queens) in this zombie/ghost mashup from director Jared Cohn. ‘Gerald’s Game’ Director Wants To Adapt King’s ‘The Shining’ Sequel ‘Doctor Sleep’

Mike Flanagan, the director behind films such as Oculus, Hush, Ouija: Origin of Evil, and Gerald’s Game, has his eyes on a new project. The talented director told Lilja’s Library that he wants to tackle Stephen King’s ‘Doctor Sleep’ and ‘Lisey’s Story’. There are so many,” Flanagan answered, when the site questioned him about what other Stephen King stories he’d like to adapt. “But the ones I’d want to do the most are DOCTOR SLEEP and LISEY’S STORY. In both cases, it’s because I identify with the protagonists so much. LISEY’S STORY is a stunning piece of work, a beautiful exploration of marriage. Enter ‘The Open House’ This January From Netflix

The trailer has now debuted for Netflix’s upcoming thriller The Open House starring Don’t Breathe actor Dylan Minnette. The film centers on a teenager (Minnette) and his mother (Piercey Dalton) who find themselves besieged by threatening forces after moving into their new home. “You can’t lock out what’s already inside.” Written and directed by Dan Angel and Chip Rosenbloom, the film is set in a town where the people are strange and bizarre events take place behind locked doors. Sharif Atkins, Patricia Bethune, Matt Angel, Aaron Abrams, Katheryn Beckwith, Ethan Cushing, Katie Walder, Paul Rae, Jessica Robertson, and Edward Olsen co-star in the film set to be released on January 19, 2018.

‘Pennywise Lives’ In New Featurette From Stephen King’s ‘IT’

There is no doubt that after watching Andy Muschietti’s It that Bill Skarsgard is an incredibly talented actor and that he has a knack for being extremely creepy when he wants to be and when he morphs into Pennywise it’s utterly terrifying. A new featurette, titled ‘Pennywise Lives’ has been unveiled ahead of next week’s Blu-ray and DVD release that allows you to watch the actor become the dark entity. New Concept Art Revives Interest In Neill Blomkamp’s ‘Alien’ Sequel

Several years ago, we almost got to see an Alien film from Neill Blomkamp, the filmmaker behind films like District 9, Elysium, and Chappie. After releasing concept art fans wanted more and we almost had it when Fox greenlit the project with Blomkamp set to direct. Blomkamp even had Sigourney Weaver on the hook to reprise her role. Unfortunately, Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant moved forward putting Blomkamp’s Alien sequel on the shelf. Alien: Covenant got less than a warm reception, but Scott insists that the story should continue. However, I’m not sure fans would agree who should be in the director’s chair for the next installment. We would love to see Blomkamp’s version of a new sequel. After his series of short films through Oats Studio (one will become a feature), there is no question in my mind that he should have a shot at the iconic franchise. The (Stranger) Thing

In 2002 fans of the movie The Thing where able to partake in a new chapter of the film’s universe by playing the 3rd person survival horror game, ‘The Thing’ where players take on the role of Captain Blake, a Special Forces soldier sent in with a rescue team to find survivors at the doomed U.S. Outpost 31 from John Carpenter’s film. Long story short, the events of the film and this game were part of some nefarious plot by a Biotechnology company called Gen-Inc who has subterranean research facilities all around Antarctica studying the alien organism in which a certain strain of the “Virus” was developed to be used in Biological Warfare. Franco (Karl Malden, proving he walked the streets of Rome before those of San Francisco) is taking a stroll one night with his young niece Lori (Cinzia De Carolis) when he overhears a plan to blackmail a scientist who works at a top secret genetic institute…well, not too top secret if they are blabbing about it right out in the damn street and all…oh, and there’s a robbery in there somewhere as well. The largest cast of genre icons ever assembled will be appearing in Harrison B. Smith‘s Death House (review), in theaters this January. Originally, the script for Death House was penned by Texas Chainsaw Massacre Actor and genre icon Gunnar Hansen. Smith rewrote the script, keeping Hansen’s vision intact. Smith also got the okay on the script from Hansen just before he passed away. In the film, Agents Toria Boon and Jae Novak have their own dark pasts, arriving at Death House to tour its levels and observe its denizens first hand as well as the medical and mental experiments of Drs. Eileen Fletcher and Karen Redmane—their depraved experiments date back to the Nazi doctors of World War II.
