A lot of people are eagerly awaiting the May release of Sony Screen Gems’ Slender Man, but those people are about to be disappointed. The release has now been pushed back to August, sorry.

The Creepypasta-inspired character, Slender Man, has long been described as a tall and thin with long, slender limbs. His legend became common when two 12-year-old girls brutally stabbed their friend in his name.
The film, from director Sylvain White, stars Joey King, Julia Goldani Telles, Annalise Basso, Jaz Sinclair, Talitha Bateman, and Alex Fitzalan. David Birke and Victor Surge penned the script.
Slender Man will haunt theaters nationwide on August 24, 2018.
