Lionsgate’s new Studio L is gearing up to make waves in the digital world. Deadline is reporting that the studio announced today that their initial lineup includes three features this Spring and a series based on Eduardo Sanchez and Daniel Myrick’s The Blair Witch Project.
The film, which was groundbreaking for the found-footage subgenre, centers on three film students who have traveled to a small backwoods town to film a documentary on the legendary Blair Witch.
The film spawned a sequel in 2000 and another from Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett in 2016, simply titled Blair Witch.
The big questions are, will the series continue the story or take a different path, and will it be found footage?
