Sam Raimi‘s upcoming horror film Bermuda Triangle has entered development with Skydance Productions. News has come that the film has cast one of Hollywood’s biggest names, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds.
That Hashtag Show is reporting that Reynolds will play the male lead in the film, which Raimi (Evil Dead, Ash vs Evil Dead, Drag Me to Hell) will direct. John Gatniss (Kong: Skull Island) wrote the script.
Set to begin filming in September, the film will be produced by Don Granger (Annihilation), David Ellison (World War Z), and Dan Goldberg (Annihilation).
“When a massive submarine carry nuclear weapons goes missing in the Bermuda Triangle, Commander Vogel enlists the help of Dr. Fisk a theoretical physicist, who while using his grandfather’s research opens a wormhole to reveal a mysterious island that is inhabited by anything lost in the triangle including Sharks, Vikings, and Nazis, in the hopes of finding the nuclear weapons.”
