Today, Sony Pictures released a teaser image via Instagram of a clapperboard labeled “Grudge”. That’s right, after a quiet few months, we have learned that the new Grudge is now on its way. To top it off, according to the clapperboard, the movie began filming on May 10th.

Directed by Nick Pesce, who co-wrote the remake with Jeff Buhler, the film stars Lin Shaye of the Insidious franchise, John Cho (The Exorcist), Demian Bichir (The Nun), and Andrea Riseborough (Oblivian).
Sam Raimi, the man behind films like The Evil Dead, Army of Darkness, and the series “Ash vs Evil Dead”, is set to produce. He also produced the 2004 version.
