Writer-director Matt Sears‘ (Charlie Boy) My Friend the Demon has kicked off its Indiegogo campaign in hopes of raising money for the production of the movie which will be used as a proof of concept.
The cast for My Friend the Demon is impressive, including actor Javier Botet, who has appeared in films such as IT: Chapter One, The Conjuring 2, Mama, Crimson Peak, and Pan’s Labyrinth. He will be playing the role of the demon in the film. Isabelle Allen (Hugh Jackman’s Les Miserables) will also star.
Oscar-winning SFX artist David Marti (Pan’s Labyrinth & The Unforgettable) and concept artist Jared Krichevsky (IT, The Conjuring 2 & Wonder Woman) are also attached.
The film tells the story of a young, lonely girl (Allen) who endures years of physical abuse at the hands of her father, only to develop a friendship with a demon.
