SyFy is gearing up to bring horror fans two new version of the classics. The network is negotiations to pick up the rights to make new versions of 1988’s Killer Klowns from Outer Space and 1986’s Critters.
Fans have been begging for decades for a sequel to Killer Klowns and it looks like they are finally going to get one. The film follows a young couple and their friends who discover that a circus tent is actually a UFO filled with aliens that look like clowns. The clowns descend on the small town capturing residents in cotton candy cocoons to eat, but the friends are out to stop it.

Critters centers on an attack of fuzzy, ugly, little aliens who want to make a snack of the residents of a small town. The film spawned several sequels including the third which starred Leonardo DiCaprio.
