Hulu and ITV have jumped aboard the “Zomboat“, a new U.K. series that will air on both British and American TVs, Variety reports.
The story is set during the zombie apocalypse that has kicked off in the British city of Birmingham. Sisters Kat and Jo and their unlikely travel companions Sunny and Amar, flee the city by boat. As they travel along the canal friendships develop, alliances form, and romance blossoms, but not all is perfect. Along the way, they realize there’s no escaping the problems of life, even in a zombie apocalypse.
The horror comedy stars Leah Brotherhead (“White Gold”), Hamza Jeetooa (“Doctor Who”), Ryan McKen (“White Dragon”), and “Downtown Abby” actress Cara Theobold.
“Zomboat” will premiere on ITV2 this fall followed by its arrival on Hulu.
