“The Haunting of Hill House” star Oliver Jackson-Cohen has boarded The Invisible Man as the title character for Blumhouse and Universal’s film, both penned, directed, and executive produced by Leigh Whannel (Saw, Insidious).
Cohen joins previously announced cast members Elisabeth Moss, Aldis Hodge, Harriet Dyer, and Strom Reid according to Variety.
The film centers on Cecilia (Moss), who receives the news of her abusive ex-boyfriend’s suicide. She begins to rebuild her life for the better. However, her sense of reality is put into question when she begins to suspect her deceased lover is not actually dead. The film is inspired by the classic Universal Monster, first portrayed in 1933, is set to begin filming later this month.
Jason Blum of Blumhouse is producing with Kylie du Fresne of Goldpost Pictures.
