Thanks to Disney’s merger with Fox, the mouse house now owns a massive amount of movie rights, including the Alien franchise. They’re not wasting any time and already have plans to reboot Alien, according to WeGotThisCovered.com.
With Disney reluctant to release anything R-rated, you may be wondering how the reboot will go. CEO Bob Iger has made it clear that they will not be watering down future films of the franchise, but it appears they will be going back to the drawing board for a new version. There is no news on when it will begin filming. Hopefully, it won’t end up like this:
Alien isn’t the only franchise getting a reboot, Predator will be too at some point.
When will Hollywood just leave the classics alone? We don’t need reboots of either classic films. Enough is enough.
