Well, The Craft reboot just got a lot more interesting. Deadline is reporting that “X-Files” star David Duchovny has signed on for the film to play a yet to be announced character. We’re thinking one of the witch’s dad?

Duchovny has joined previously announced cast members Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone, Zoey Luna, and Nicholas Galitzine.

Directed by Zoe Lister-Jones, the reboot of the beloved 1996 film follows a newcomer at a Catholic prep high school who falls in with a trio of outcast teen girls who practice witchcraft and wage war on those who have mistreated them.

The film is being executive produced by Andrew Fleming who co-wrote and directed the original film. Jason Blum, Douglas Wick, and Lucy Fisher are producing.

Hopefully, we will know more about Blumhouse, Sony, and Red Wagon’s new version soon.
