It’s been twenty years since we were introduced to Bridgett and Ginger in the first Ginger Snaps movie. Now, after three films, the werewolf franchise is getting a new Series.
Deadline is reporting that Sid Gentle Films and Copperhart Entertainment have teamed up for a new show executive produced by John Fawcett, co-creator and director of the original movie. Anna Ssemuyaba (“Guerrilla“) has signed on to write the script for the series of the same name.
“Ginger Snaps” will center o sisters Brigette and Ginger, who are outcasts in their hometown. Inseparable, the sisters are obsessed with everything dark and macabre. The night of her first period Ginger is attacked by a werewolf and all hell breaks loose.
The series will be a modernized adaptation of the female-driven horror movie we all loved.
