The Purge creator James DeMonaco is back with the final film of the franchise, The Forever Purge. It was originally set to be released in 2020, then scheduled for a July 9, 2021, theatrical premiere. Now, the movie has a new release date, July 2, 2021!
According to THR, the movie, “takes the Purge out of its usual metropolitan setting while still dealing with class and race issues in the way the previous films have,” Reports also state that, the movie will take place after the events of Election Year and will center on Adela (Ana de la Reguera) and Juan (Tenoch Huerta), who finds solace at a Texan ranch, having fled a drug cartel in Mexico. Things go awry when a group of outsiders decides to keep purging beyond the allotted time.
“True Detective” actor Leven Rambin stars alongside Will Patton, Cassidy Freeman, Ana de la Reguera, and Tenoch Huerta. Everardo Gout (Mars) directs from DeMonaco’s script.
