In a twist that we never expected, Amazon has renewed “Good Omens” for a second season after a two-years after season one’s finale.

Two reasons that it’s so surprising is that the series was first billed as limited series and another, the first season covered the entire novel it’s based upon.

Co-written by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet, the new season will deliver a fresh story about the supernatural duo of Michael Sheen‘s (“Masters of Sex”) angel Aziraphale and David Tennant’s (“Doctor Who”) Crowley and their involvement in the apocalypse and with humanity. Both are returning.

We’ll keep you posted.
