Dark Sky Films has now announced that the thriller Night Drive is pulling into theaters this August. In the trailer, a driver picks up a new fare and a disturbing chain of events follows.
In Night Drive, “Russell (AJ Bowen – You’re Next, The Signal) is a driver in Los Angeles who’s reeling from a series of bad decisions. While his life seems to be caught in a downward spiral, a business proposition from an alluring but enigmatic passenger named Charlotte (Sophie Dalah – Unbroken, Dead Night) proves too good to turn down. A simple ride turns deadly, catapulting Russell into an even darker place, but Charlotte may be the key to a second chance he thought he’d never have… if he can make it through the night.”
Bradford Baruh, the filmmaker that brought you John Dies at the End, directed alongside Meghan Leon who penned the script.
HorrorFuel’s Joseph Perry said in his review, “Baruh and Leon have crafted a fun, thoroughly engaging thrill ride filled with humorous moments and sudden peril. They strike a perfect balance between comedy and suspense. Avoid spoilers and put Night Drive on your radar.”
Night Drive pulls into theaters and arrives on Digital and VOD on August 6, 2021, from Dark Sky Films.
