Anna Taylor-Joy made her feature acting debut in Robert Eggers‘ The Witch before going on to starring in many high-profile movies such as The Queen’s Gambit. Now, Taylor-Joy is reuniting with the incredible director for his remake of the iconic 1922 vampire film Nosferatu.
The original Nosferatu (there was a remake in 1979) was directed by F.W. Murnau and follows vampire Count Orlok who aims to buy a house in Germany. The vampire soon falls in love with the wife of his real estate agent. That may sound familiar, the silent film is an unofficial retelling of Bram Stoker’s iconic novel Dracula.
Anna Taylor-Joy is also starring in Eggers’ upcoming project The Northman that will also star Bill Skarsgård, Ethan Hawke, Björk, Nicole Kidman, and Willem Defoe who appeared in Eggers’ The Lighthouse.
