Following her role in A24’s oh-so unnerving Lamb, Noomi Repace can next be seen in the supernatural horror You Won’t Be Alone.
The film is set in an isolated mountain village in 19th century Macedonia and centers on a young girl who is kidnapped and transformed into a witch by an ancient spirit. After accidentally killing a peasant, the witch takes her form with a desire to experience what it means to be human.
You Won’t Be Alone marks the feature debut of writer-director Goran Stolevski. It is produced by Kristina Ceyton (The Babadook, The Nightingale) and Sam Jennings (Cargo).
Anamaria Marinca, Carloto Cotta, Alice Englert, Sara Klimoska, and Felix Martaud also star in You Won’t Be Alone, opening in theaters on January 28, 2022.
