At his point movies with “Amityville” in the title are a dime a dozen and are nine times out of ten are simply terrible. Hopefully, Lionsgate’s new horror Amityville Uprising will be one of the few good ones.
Following The Amityville Harvest and The Amityville Moon, Uprising sees a chemical explosion at a military base set off a supernatural disaster, unleashing an acid rain the melts the flesh from bone from anyone it touches. If that wasn’t bad enough, the dead soon begin to rise.
Written and directed by Thomas Churchill, Amityville Uprising stars Mike Furguson, Micah Fitzgerald, Kelly Lynn Reiter, Troy Fromin, Aleksandra Zorich Hunt, and Thomas J. Churchill as “Chuck”.
