Not only are fans getting Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Sony Pictures is going to release a new box set that’s to die for, Ghostbusters: Ultimate Collection that is as big as Slimmer’s appetite. Fans will get a ton of bonus features, movies from the franchise, an all-new 114-minute long “Preview Cut” of the original film, and so much more!
The set comes in a collectible “ghost trap” style package and is described as featuring an “unearthed early cut” of the movie that includes “alternate takes, additional scenes, early effects” and more. There’s also over an hour of raw footage from seven of the scenes from the movie as well as 19 never-before-seen deleted scenes from Ghostbusters II, making this a must-have for fans.
Other goodies that come with the collection include a full 220-page reprint of the rare 1985 “Making Ghostbusters” book. Sony Home Entertainment will also be including a Digital Download of Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters (2016).
The Ghostbusters: Ultimate Collection will be available come February 1, 2022. You can pre-order the $149.99 Ultimate Collection now.

By the way, Ghostbusters (2016), which had an all-female lead cast, was not originally included in the box set but was added due to the movie’s director, Paul Feig, calling out Sony Pictures on Twitter.
