After years of rumors, it appears that Beetlejuice 2 may be movie forward, according to The Ankler. The long-discussed sequel has found new life with Brad Pitt’s company Plan B coming on board. With plans to begin production this summer.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Beetlejuice sequel without its stars, Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder. It’s a good thing they are both reportedly returning to reprise their iconic characters, Beetlejuice and Lydia. Tim Burton is expected to return to the director’s chair.
Beetlejuice premiered in 1988 and was an instant classic. The question is, can a sequel live up to the hype? Well, it looks like we’re going to find out.
