The stunning new poster and trailer for the dark vampire film Kicking Blood is here and it treats the red stuff like an addiction.
In the film, which premiered last year at TIFF,“ Alanna Bale stars as a modern-day vampire who falls for a charming recovering alcoholic and resolves to quit drinking blood and become human again.”
Bale stars alongside Luke Bilyk, Ella Jonas Farlinger, Vinessa Antoine, Rosemary Dunsmore, and Ben Sutherland.
Blaine Thurber directs from the screenplay he co-wrote along with Leonard Farlinger, and Matt Watts. David Aboussafy, Danielle Henderson, and David Henderson executive produce with Jennifer Jones Producing.

“Vampires suffer through an eternal cycle of murder, getting high off their victims’ blood, and suffering blood hangovers. But for our protagonist, Anna, the emptiness, loneliness, and futility of immortality surface after centuries of bloodshed and she starts on a journey to recovery and back to humanity. Kicking Blood approaches this journey with respect while still reflecting the humor in all of it.”
Kicking Blood, part horror, part love story, is set to be released by XYZ Films on March 31, 2022.
