It’s been over two years since IT: Chapter II was released. Just when we thought the story had come to an end, Warner Bros. shares the news that they are teaming up with HBO Max for a new prequel series titled “Welcome to Derry.”

Much of the details of the series, including the cast and synopsis for the series, has not been released, but odds are it will explore more of the 27-year cycle of Pennywise. We would hope that if Pennywise is a part of the story that Bill Skarsgard will reprise his role as the monster.

Based on Stephen King’s 1986 novel, the story follows seven children as they are terrorized by an evil entity that exploits the fears of its victims to disguise itself while hunting its prey. “It” primarily appears in the form of Pennywise the Dancing Clown to attract its preferred prey, young children.
