Fans have eagerly awaited (for far too long) the new season of Netflix’s hit adaptation “The Witcher.” Well, the wait is over. The series returns this week to Netflix.
The official plot goes like this: “As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to uncover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and betrayal.”
Henry Cavill returns for his final season as Geralt, with Liam Hemsworth taking over the role next season. Freya Allan returns as Ciri, Anya Chalotra, and is back as Yennifer.
The first half of season three of “The Witcher” will debut on Netflix on June 29, 2023. The second half is set to arrive on July 27.
