M. Night Shyamalan, who brought you films like the brilliant movie The Sixth Sense and, more recently, Knock at the Cabin and Apple TV’s chilling series “Servant,” is back with a new tale, a thriller currently filming under the working title Good Grades.
While many of the details are still being kept hush-hush, it has been revealed that the film will star Josh Hartnett, who you will remember from the series “Penny Dreadful” and the films 30 Days of Night and The Faculty. Hartnett will play the role of a father attending a concert with his son. However, things go off the rails.
Hartnett will star opposite Saleka Shyamalan, who plays the musician whose concert Hartnett’s character attends, Collider reports. This marks the second film of her father’s that Saleka will be involved with. Her first was the soundtrack for 2021’s Old.
Currently filming in Canada, the project has been described by Shyamalan as a “psychological thriller set at a concert.” Not only will he be directing the film, but he will also be serving as a producer. As part of the deal he made to get the movie going during the SAG-AFTRA strike, he will be funding the production himself.
We’ll keep you posted as more details surface.
