Earlier this week, we shared the news that the second season of Netflix’s killer Korean series “Sweet Home” will premiere this December. We have since learned that the monster series has also been renewed for its third season, which is fantastic news.
In season one, which we called a “must-see” in our review, Hyun, who lost his entire family in a terrible accident, is forced to face a new reality where monsters are trying to wipe out all of humanity. In our, being called a “must-see.”
Season two sees “the main characters depart from the Green Home, the site of their previous monster battles, and are compelled to venture into the outside world. Survivors have gathered at what is left of the stadium and built a community, but they still cannot let their guard down. The evolving storyline promises heightened anticipation as the characters confront new dangers in different environments, where they must fight against external monsters and their monstrous desires.”
Song Kang returns as Hyun-su for the new season and stars alongside Lee Jin-wuk, Lee Si-young, Jung Jin-young, Yoo Oh-seong, Ko Min-si, Kim Moo-yeol, Oh Jung-se, and Park Gyu-young.
The series’ second season is directed by Lee Eung-bok (Descendants of the Sun) and Park So-hyeon (Memories of Murder).
The hit series is based on the Webtoon created by Kim Kan-bi and Hwang Young-chan, which you can now read for free.
