Prolific television producer Ryan Murphy, known for his chilling anthology series “American Horror Story,” has unveiled a brand-new horror series titled “Grotesquerie” debuting on FX. This marks Murphy’s latest collaboration with the network, over a decade after launching the “American Horror Story” franchise.

A Glimpse into the Unknown

Details surrounding the plot and characters of “Grotesquerie” remain mysterious. However, the first teaser has now been released on Murphy’s Instagram. The teaser features an unnamed character, voiced by Emmy-winning actress Niecy Nash-Betts, engaged in a seemingly frantic phone call.

Nash-Betts’ character expresses deep concern about a noticeable shift in the world. She describes a growing sense of unease and the chilling feeling of something “opening up” within reality. The monologue hints at the emergence of a potentially sinister force that others seem oblivious to.

Nash-Betts Takes Center Stage

Niecy Nash-Betts leads in “Grotesquerie,” marking her latest collaboration with Murphy. This follows her critically acclaimed performance in Murphy’s true-crime miniseries “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story on Netflix, which earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress. Nash-Betts also worked with Murphy on the short-lived slasher comedy series  “Scream Queens.

Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville join Niecy Nash-Betts in the cast of “Grotesquerie.” Details about their characters are yet to be revealed.
