Are you looking for a horror movie with a fresh twist? Look no further than Trim Season, slashing its way into theaters this Summer. The film blends witchcraft and weed into a bloody cocktail that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Directed by Ariel Vida, Trim Season follows a group led by Emma Bethlehem Million (Sick). Lured by the promise of quick cash, they venture deep into Northern California to work on a remote marijuana farm. “How much can we make in two weeks?” one character naively asks in the unrated trailer. “How much you trim is how much you get,” comes the reply as a seemingly friendly recruiter gathers his unsuspecting crew.

Upon arrival, they’re greeted with a welcome: “Welcome to The Hollow. It’ll be over before you know it, so enjoy!” Meanwhile, Mona (Jane Badler), the farm’s enigmatic owner, offers a sinister hint: “You’re right on time.” For horror fans, this translates to one thing – you’ve made a terrible mistake.

The group soon discovers that sinister forces are at play at The Hollow. Mona’s secrets are far darker than they could have ever imagined. The trailer takes a horrifying turn as one character smokes the farm’s unique brand of marijuana, only to suffer a gruesome fate.

Trim Season injects fresh blood (pun intended) into the horror genre by weaving together elements of witchcraft and the marijuana industry. Starring Bex Taylor-Klaus (Scream), Cory Hart (“Fear the Walking Dead”), and Alex Essoe (a frequent collaborator with horror auteur Mike Flanagan), the film promises a terrifying blend of familiar faces and innovative scares.

Trim Season will slash its way into select US theaters on June 7th, 2024
